A Life of Flute

Anne Janson’s Seasoned Career

Anne Janson has been second flutist the Vermont
Symphony Orchestra since 1983; she also substitutes as
principal flute and piccolo.  She is Adjunct Flute Professor at the University of Vermont and Middlebury College.


Ms. Janson received a Bachelor of Music Degree from the
Hartt School of Music and a Master of Music Degree from
the Manhattan School of Music.


Anne lives in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. She is passionate
about sailing, skiing, water sports, traveling to Belize,
working at Basin Harbor Resort in the summer, working at
Sugarbush Ski Resort in the winter, spending time with her
family and kitties, and of course practicing and performing
on her golden flute!
